Ynys Enlli Residency

I was fortunate to be offered a place on a collaborative artists residency on Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) as one of five artists we all offered a workshop and met with Carol Sherman veteran artists of the island. The focus was very much on sharing and exchanging skills over the week, out of which came a variety of prices of work which grow out of our time together.

It was rich time which has continued to blossom into friendships and collaborations, living with two Welsh speakers over the week and learning and learning words informally was a great pleasure. I bought a book making kit and ran a workshop, and also made natural ink during my stay and offered this to the group as well as organising a silent sunrise walk. The land and wider landscape was magical, my love of bird hides as impromptu studios was reignited.
