Botanical Inks Workshop

Botanical Inks Workshop

This one day workshop led participants through the context and philosophy behind hand made and sustainable art materials, the group learnt about the practicalities of growing the plants from seed to producing the inks from raw matrails on the day and making a range of inks to experiment with.

People used the natural inks produced from dye plants and foraged materials to create their own images and to experiment with shifting colours using 'mordants'. The day was both fun and informative, people left feelign inspired and able to create their own botanical inks.

The course structure was fantastic, it really suited my love of nature and being outdoors. The benefits for my personal development are it has allowed me to express myself in ways that I have never done before. I have a greater understanding of the connectedness between nature and health. The course has enabled me to guide others into nature and I can see week by week the benefits of them developing their understanding of themselves and the connection they have with nature. It is evident that their well-being has improved.
