Creative, Wellbeing Sessions in Nature
I provide outdoor creatve sessions for people wanting to combine art, nature and wellbeing. I work with people who have no artist experience as well as introducing practicing artists to an outdoor, ecological arts practice. I believe there is an artist in everyone.
My unique workshops blend my skills as an artist, an eco-therapist and a teacher. I have background in supporting people who are neurodivergent, struggling with mental health and/or physical limitations.
Sessions and workshops involve facilitating a deeper level of connection with nature. I provide guided activities to support people to express this connection playfully by using colours, images, shapes and patterns. I can also teach people about using plant and earth pigment to create ink and paint.
As an English person living in North Wales, I am always looking for ways to bring the language of the land into what I offer. I often collaborate with Welsh speaking artists to run bilingual workshops. As a neurodivergent Welsh leaner, I recognise how being exposed to Welsh in an informal environmental supports many first language English speaking people to engage more with Welsh langauge, I also acknowledge the right of Welsh speakers to attend Welsh medium workshops and aim for this to be partly acheieved by creating a billingual setting.
